Each marker is one plant-technology pair, sized by nameplate capacity and colored by technology group (natural gas, hydro, wind, solar, battery, nuclear, geothermal, coal, other). Hovering a marker shows the plant name, operator, capacity, unit count, county/state, and balancing authority. The balancing-authority selector filters the fleet and reframes the view; it defaults to CAISO (`CISO`). Technology groups can be toggled on and off via the legend. **Formulas Used:** N/A. **Data Cleaning Information:** Generator rows are aggregated to one marker per plant-technology pair (capacities summed, units counted); they are also grouped by their EIA defined technology; generators without coordinates are dropped (none in the current edition). ## Notes - Source is the EIA-860M "Operating" sheet - a monthly federal inventory, independent of any ISO's data.
